Singing/Vocal technique - LEARN HOW TO BELT

The session starts with an introduction and a breakdown of vocal techniques with examples and theory. Each participant then sings a part of their song and receives individual guidance to improve.

At the end, some may choose to perform with a backing track. A document with key techniques and useful video links is shared for further practice.

Songwriting & Vocal layering - HOW TO WRITE A SONG

‍

The session begins with introductions, shared experiences, and performances of original songs, followed by a vocal layering demonstration. Songwriting tips, techniques, and basic theory are then explored.

Participants split into two groups to write a song, either recording in a studio or composing with piano/guitar and vocals. Both groups are encouraged to experiment with vocal layering.

The session concludes with performances, discussion, and optional feedback, along with a takeaway document.

WHAT TO BRING:

Participants can bring a song to sing with a backing track and any drafts of lyrics, chords, or song ideas.
