an Open Platform for creative, vocal expression and songwriting.

Dozy Jane is a Danish-German singer, songwriter, and producer based in Berlin. Blending dreamy clarity with electrifying energy, her music fuses ethereal vocals with 90s Euro-dance and Y2K pop influences. A self-taught producer, she brings her bold creative visions to life, crafting unique sonic worlds. Her upcoming single "Close My Eyes" drops in April, with her debut album arriving in Summer 2025.

Singing/Vocal technique - LEARN HOW TO BELT

The session starts with an introduction and a breakdown of vocal techniques with examples and theory. Each participant then sings a part of their song and receives individual guidance to improve.

At the end, some may choose to perform with a backing track. A document with key techniques and useful video links is shared for further practice.

Songwriting & Vocal layering - HOW TO WRITE A SONG

‍

The session begins with introductions, shared experiences, and performances of original songs, followed by a vocal layering demonstration. Songwriting tips, techniques, and basic theory are then explored.

‍

Participants split into two groups to write a song, either recording in a studio or composing with piano/guitar and vocals. Both groups are encouraged to experiment with vocal layering.

The session concludes with performances, discussion, and optional feedback, along with a takeaway document.

WHAT TO BRING:

Participants can bring a song to sing with a backing track and any drafts of lyrics, chords, or song ideas.
